Why I chose OCDaction:
I contacted Let’s Talk Gloucestershire who explained to me about the concept of intrusive thoughts. Sharing this with someone I trusted, they directed me to your website and the information there enabled me (and them) to understand the many facets of OCD further and help me to realise that I wasn’t alone in this. I am extremely grateful to OCD Action for this.
“We’re Mind. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.”

Why I chose Mind:
As well as walking to raise awareness of OCD I realise just how many people out there are struggling with other mental health related illnesses and so I would like to walk for those people too. If my experience of mental illness has shown me anything it’s how devastating and life changing it is and that it’s so important that people receive help, are educated on it and do not suffer alone.
Mind is the largest
I contacted Let’s Talk Gloucestershire who explained to me about the concept of intrusive thoughts. As the only mental health charity I was aware of at the time, the Mind website was one of the first places I turned to for more information. I would leave the website continually open on my laptop for inspiration and support.
